Already almost the end of July – where does the time go? It’s finally warm here in Seattle, although of course now that I get the sun I’ve been begging for all I do is complain about living in a “too warm” apartment. Gotta work on not being so picky I guess! Anyway, it’s all fine and dandy because when it gets too hot I just eat ice cream. It’s a win win situation really.

I’ve got some new “art prints” – small watercolor paintings I’m working on. Okay I shouldn’t have pluralized that because I only have one completed – another is on it’s way it’s just not been photo-ed. In any case….

Summer is keeping my busy! We’ve been venturing out for quite a few weekend trips, doing lots of baking (rhubarb crisp, anyone?), making some new art, and continuing the never-ceasing process of fixing up our apartment.

We visited my parents a week ago and enjoyed some farm fresh cheese, a distillery tour, and some good old country air.

My parent’s very impressive garden – I worry this gene has not been carried on to me, as I haven’t successfully kept a plant alive for more than about a week

Summer is full of beauty and things to be inspired by! I love all the colors popping up everywhere and am thankful every day for this beautiful city we live in.

We’ve taken up the task of continuing to fix up our apartment – it’s been about a year since we did the initial overhaul and decided now is the time to finally finish it up. So that means a bit of trim to be painted and more than few loads of things to be taken to the thrift store.

In between all this I’m working on some new designs and considering broadening my horizons and adding in some print designs to go along with my greeting cards. My “real work” (day job) has got me working on web design and some new marketing, so I’m excited to be delving more into that and continuing to learn more! Check back soon for new design posts, and in the meantime hop on over to my Etsy page for my latest cards!
